First off, I can't believe that we are already to the holiday season. While 2009 has been a challenging year in many respects, I can't believe that we are already to Thanksgiving. Tim and I were fortunate to get to spend a few days at home in Indy for Thanksgiving. It was an incredibly busy weekend, but I was so ready to come home for a visit since it had been since July since I returned to our hometown. On Thanksgiving Day, Tim and I shared Thanksgiving lunch with my family and then spent Thanksgiving evening in the company of Tim's family. We are so fortunate that our folks live within 15 minutes of one another so that we can spend the holidays with both--we are definitely lucky in that respect.
As for what I am thankful for this year...I continue to be thankful for Tim and the great husband and partner that he is...for my family and friends back in Indy--even though they are far away...for the opportunity to learn and grow through my job--while some things have been challenging, I have gotten to do some pretty cool things this year...for the adventure that we are still having down South--we have experienced some unique things that we would not have otherwise...for our growth through the adversity in 2009....We have many things to be thankful for! But for now, we are especially happy to share the day with our family!
I am thankful for my sister Jacqueline...for the beautiful young lady that she is becoming. Since I last saw her in July, I can barely recognize her!

Thankful for my cousins...and for the next generation of our family...what fun.

I am thankful for James...for what an awesome guy that he is; and for my husband--for his incredible spirit!

For Keely--for her loving "Keely hug"...for her fun-loving personality. (By the way, Keely, you look like a natural with the kiddies...)

Thankful for the closeness of our family. For Carol's loving personality...For Melissa's down to earth nature.

Thanks for Travis...he has been so much fun to get to know over the last year.

For the men of our family....that we have seen more of John over the last few years...for the new beginning for cousin Tim at medical school

Tim is thankful for another full-fledged Purdue Boilermaker in the family!

Thankful to get to spend some time with my Dad, and for the interest he takes in trying to "coach me."

Much thanks for my mother and for her mother. I hope that I got those genes!
