Myrtle Beach and Blue Crabbing

Tim and I are blessed to have Donna and Dave come through the Carolinas a few times each year. Donna and Dave are retired and they are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel frequently--especially in the southeast. Tim and I are fortunate to sometimes get to take part in their trips. For two weeks in October Donna and Dave spent some time in a great condo in Myrtle Beach. Tim and I took the trek down from Charlotte to spend a weekend with them on the Carolina coast. Since we did not get to go during the summer it was a refreshing and fun trip.

Tim and I had fun visiting, beach combing, and just getting away from everyday life. My favorite part of the trip was crabbing. Tim's family had never been crabbing before and I had fond memories from my trip out to Oregon a few years ago. In any case, it wasn't exactly crab season so the pickings were slim. However, we had a Great time. Enjoy the pictures of our family, the crabbing experience and the beauty of the coast!

Fall in the Mountains

One of the coolest things about living in the Carolinas is Fall in the mountains. According to travel magazines, Asheville, NC is one of the best places to experience fall on the east coast. Asheville is an artsy town tucked within the Blue Mountains about two hours west of Charlotte. They have the Biltmore (which Grandma did not prefer.) and the world-famous Grove Park Inn.

Every Fall our licensing team has a brief retreat for our team and the driver licensing representatives. This year we went to the Grove Park Inn for tailgate games, hay rides, golf for the men anda spa day for the ladies. Everything was elegant. My favorite part though was seeing the mountains, the fall colors, and having fun with new friends.

A New Nephew...well sort of

Tim and I got to go home for the Labor Day weekend. It was a nice long-weekend visit. We just love the opportunity to see our family. One of the highlights of our trip was to meet Les and Drew's new dog, Spencer. I took lots of pictures of him for Les. Just wanted to share!

New My Publisher Book!

I have had so much fun creating books through MyPublisher.com. So far, I have done wedding albums for Tim and me and then wedding albums for Les and Drew. I am a bit behind on a few things.
