Rent--the Musical with Beau and Christy!!!

It is funny how people come in and out of our lives. Beau was one of my dear friends in high school. We met in New Edition (Show Choir) and our friendship grew when Beau, Ryan Ahlwardt, and I were in "The Who's Tommy" together at the Indianapolis Civic. We have stayed in touch through high school, college, etc., but we have both departed from Indianapolis for our own reasons. Beau is in the Air Force and is priveledged to be flying C-17's. His career has taken him from Del Rio Texas, to Oklahoma, and his most recent post is in Charleston, SC. Tim and I are so happy because Beau and his new wife, Christy live only 3 hours away.

Seeing that Beau and I are musical "geeks", we noticed that Rent the Musical was coming through Charlotte. Not only was it coming through Charlotte, but the original broadway stars Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal were going to be reprising their roles as Mark and Roger in Rent respectively. We were only able to get two tickets, but Rent does a lottery before the show where one can buy two, front row seats for $20 if drawn. We all four entered, and much to our surprise, Christy's name was drawn. We were all super excited because we all four could go! Below you can catch a sneak peak at a few of the pictures that Beau and Christy took and shared with us. Beau and Christy are by far our most favorite "southern" couples friends! We hope to share many more fun times with Christy and Beau while we are in the same part of the country!

P.S. in case you were wondering the show was AWESOME. It was one of the few times that the live show sounded almost exactly like the cd.
Our fun friends, Beau and his beautiful wife Christy!

Rent's simply set---use your imagination, moon, xmas tree, apartment,
My artistic photography of the set.
Anthony Rapp= original broadway cast Mark and tour Mark that we saw. He may be ten years older than when he originated the role, but he was still spot on!
Adam Pascal--Orignal Broadway Cast Roger. He has still got it too. He was also kind enough to stop and pose for a photo for us on the way back to his tour bus.
